by Captain G on Jan.04, 2009, under Business Travel
I have never been to Indianapolis or Indiana. However, the Indianapolis Airport Review by The Urbanophile inspires our team to take a closer look at airports we have visited. We will be reviewing some major airports in the coming months.
Below are links to The Urbanophile detailed analysis of the Indianapolis Airport:
Indianapolis Airport Terminal Part 1: Exterior
Indianapolis Airport Terminal Part 2: Interior
Indianapolis Airport Terminal Part 3: Finishing
Indianapolis Airport Terminal Part 4: Signage
Indianapolis Airport Terminal Part 5: Artwork
Indianapolis Airport Terminal Part 6: Miscellaneous
Indianapolis Airport Terminal Part 7: Conclusion
Given the fact that the Urbanophile specializes in covering urban affairs and transportation matters in Midwestern
cities, we may not be as insightful as their blog. We will strive to provide honest and objective points of view of each airport.
I Love Marriott Rewards
by statusmonger on Jan.04, 2009, under Hotels
I’ve been Marriott Platinum Elite since middle of 2005. However in 2007 I only had something like 40 nights but they gave me Platinum status for 2008. I thought it was some kind of fluke. One needs 75 nights to maintain or become Platinum status with Marriott, possibly the toughest hotel status to gain. In 2008 I had even less, 28 nights to be exact. But lo and behold, I received my 2009 Marriott Platinum Membership card in the mail the other day. Can someone explain this to me? I’m not complaining though. I just hope they don’t fix this glitch in their system.
Hertz Benefits Explained, Finally…
by Captain G on Jan.02, 2009, under Rental Cars
I have been a Hertz Gold, Five Star Gold, and President’s Circle member but could not really figure out what my benefits are for each level. Hertz has finally posted these benefits on line. Click here for the explanation.
As you can see, you do not get any perks unless you are earning #1 Awards from Hertz. I usually bank my airline account for my car rentals.
Banking airline points with your car rentals is a great way to keep your airline accounts active. I have tried to use my rental car activities with hotel accounts and found it does not work. In order to move your rental car activities over to your hotel account, you will need to book the hotel when you reserve you car.
